What Is Good Nutrition For Your Health?

Welcome Back...

It's a New Day  of getting healthier....

Today's question is "What is good nutrition for your health"?

Good nutrition gives your body's cells the required building materials to grow and stay healthy...

Bad nutrition takes away some or all of the required materials to grow and stay healthy...

Every day you make choices on what to eat... Which nutrition do you choose? Which one should you choose?

If you want to improve your health, start taking control of what you are eating and drinking...

If you can't take control... Get help with it... Get involved with other people that do have control... Doing it by yourself is possible, but it is a lot easier with company.... A spouse or friend maybe... An online group or club that have regular meetings...
Be around people that care as much as or more than you do about becoming and staying healthy... It does help...

Good nutrition is basicly a balance of water, fiber, carbs, protein, vitimins, minerals and phytonutrients... ( yes even colors are important building materials)

Bad nutrition is to much of one and not enough of the other... Also over processed foods, sugars, all soda pops, white flour products and faty meats... Which of these can you eliminate from your diet?

Next question is where to start once you get past all of the excuses why you can't.. (sorry but that had to be said)....
Personally I had to stop making excuses over 11 years ago... or I should say I was forced to make the choice to change the way I eat or die early...

1st thing to do is to get a small note pad and write down everything you eat and how much you eat for a full 7 days... If you do this you will have some data to look at... Then see where you need to make changes...

Have a great day and I will talk with you soon in my next post...

  1. Hi,

(A)Drink water! And plenty of it. Forego sodas and other caffeinated highly sugared drinks that only add empty calories to your diet. Water is in.

(B)Eat 5 times a day. Start with breakfast, lunch and dinner and then add just two healthy snacks through out your day. This balances out sugars, stops cravings and keeps your metabolism working.

    (C) Keep portion sizes no bigger than your fist. As you learn to eat smaller amounts, smaller amounts will begin to satisfy you.
